More about me…
My path into this work hasn’t been linear — it’s been shaped by both professional experience and deep introspection, and driven by a growing passion for working with women.
Completing a BSc in Economics in 2012, I initially began my career on a completely different path. However, by 2015 I found myself in a very different place. Through my own recovery journey, I began a process of introspection that continues to evolve year by year — shaping not only how I live, but how I work with others.
This experience led me to work in a residential rehabilitation centre in Cheshire, where I started as a support worker. During this time, I completed a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification and, realising I wanted to deepen the way I supported others, went on to train in Psychodynamic Counselling, completing a Level 3 and going on to complete accredited Level 4 counselling units covering theory, practice, and research, which allowed me to move into more therapeutic work within the rehabilitation setting — supporting individuals through treatment, as well as working alongside their families.
This is where my understanding of patterns, behaviours, and the deeper “why” behind change really developed.
My journey…
In 2020, I moved into a drug and alcohol service, where I continued supporting clients to make positive and lasting changes in their lives. In 2022, I stepped into a leadership role, further developing my ability to hold space, guide others, and work with more complex needs.
Alongside my professional experience, I continue to invest in my own growth and development. This includes a leadership development programme, training in DBT-informed approaches, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing, as well as ongoing personal therapy and daily practices that help me stay grounded in both my work and my life.
I believe this is an essential part of the work — to support others well, we must also be willing to understand and develop ourselves.
Rooted Change has grown from all of this.
My approach…
My approach blends therapeutic insight with coaching, allowing us to explore not just what you want to change, but why those patterns exist — and how to create change that feels meaningful and sustainable.
With over a decade of experience supporting women through change, I offer a space that is both supportive and gently challenging.
If something in this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you for a chat to see if I am a good fit for you.
